Elvis Kawesi | Wakiso District in Central Uganda | BIRTHDAY: 5th/01/2008
Elvis is from Wakiso District in Central Uganda. His parents passed away and his uncle single handedly takes care of him. Because his little income from constructing houses in the community could not provide for all his family’s needs, Elvis couldn’t attend school as there was no money for that. The Go 2 School Initiative Uganda identified Elvis as vulnerable and enrolled him to receive free education.
Elvis is excited at this opportunity to receive quality education. His favorite subject is Social Studies. His best dish is Rice & Meat and he enjoys playing football. In the future, he hopes to be a professional footballer.

Hyrat Nsamba | Busia Eastern Uganda | Birthday: 16/01/2009Hyrat hails from Busia, Eastern Uganda. Her parents struggle to cater for the family needs but fall short due to limited resources they get. Her father is a motor cyclist while her mother is a charcoal vendor and a fish monger. As a result, Hyrat was not consistent with school. Go 2 School Initiative Uganda discovered Hyrat when she was hawking maize in traffic and reached out to the family. Hyrat is now, receiving a good education. there, she enjoys Mathematics the most.
Hyrat would like to become a nurse when she grows up. She likes to eat spaghetti and in her free time, she loves to sing & dance with her friends.

Nayigaga Angel | Iganga, Eastern Uganda | Birthday: 06TH/05/2008
Meet Angel from Iganga, Eastern Uganda. Her mother, uneducated but very hardworking, struggles to make ends meet for her family of 3 children. She has a stall where she sells vegetables like tomatoes, onions, and a few fruits. She however doesn’t earn enough to care for all her children. The Go 2 School Initiative Uganda has provided her more support by meeting two of her children’s education needs.
At school, Angel’s best subject is Social Studies. Blue is her favorite color. When she grows up, she hopes to become a lawyer. During the school breaks, she loves to sing and dance. Her best dish is Meat.

Peace is the younger sister to Nayigaga Angel from Iganga, Eastern Uganda. Her mother does her best to provide for them with her little income she earned from selling vegetables like tomatoes, onions, and a few fruits. However, this wasn’t enough to send her to school or meet some of Peace’s basic needs. With the help of Go 2 School Initiative Uganda, Peace is now fully enrolled in school and is acquiring quality education.
Peace enjoys her studies and especially loves drawing and sounds; her dream is to be a nurse. In her free time, Peace likes to sing and dance. Her favorite color is red and meal is Pilao rice.
