Angel Gabriel Kakama
Date of birth: February 3, 2015
Gabriel, from Western Uganda, faced hardship as his mother was ostracized during pregnancy and abandoned by the father. Struggling to make ends meet, she took on various jobs, from hawking food in Kampala to working as a housemaid in the UAE. They found refuge at Jesus Christ Worship Center in Nateete, Central Uganda, identified by Go 2 School Initiative Uganda. Thanks to financial support, Gabriel now enjoys the opportunity of education and expresses gratitude along with his mother. Your support ensures a promising start for children like Gabriel.


Shamilah Nalubega
Date of birth: February 25, 2015
Shamilah, raised by her single mother since her father’s 2016 typhoid-related death, is one of six siblings. Her mother sells local tea at the Busega taxi stage to make ends meet. Go 2 School Initiative supports Shamilah’s education at no cost. She aspires to become a doctor, enjoys Literacy class, and engages in netball during her free time. Shamilah’s favorite dish is a combination of rice, matooke, meat, and chicken. Karungi Joseph
Date of birth: December 8, 2018
Joseph is currently staying in Lubaga, Central Uganda with a care taker. His mother, a sex worker abandoned him in 2017. The details about his origin are unknown. His care taker hawks chapatti and cassava around Kampala town. He was under the care of Jesus Christ Worship Center when Go 2 School Initiative learned about his situation. Go 2 School Initiative has provided Joseph an opportunity to education. His favorite dish is rice and spaghetti. During the school break, he enjoys running. Kiberu Disan
Date of birth: July 4, 2016
Disan’s story is one of resilience despite adversity. Abandoned and with a father struggling with alcoholism, he now has hope for a brighter future through the Go 2 School Initiative. With access to free education and support, he can overcome his challenges. Disan finds joy in football and simple pleasures like eating rice and chicken. Thanks to donors, his education and well-being are secured. Every contribution helps transform the lives of vulnerable children like him, providing hope, stability, and a pathway to a better future.


Peace Namwanje
Date of birth: September 14, 2014
Peace is the younger sister to Nayigaga Angel from Iganga, Eastern Uganda. Her mother does her best to provide for them with her little income she earned from selling vegetables like tomatoes, onions, and a few fruits.However, this wasn’t enough to send her to school or meet some of Peace’s basic needs. With the help of Go 2 School Initiative Uganda, Peace is now fully enrolled in school and is acquiring quality education.


Mukalzi Farook
Date of birth: November 12, 2012
Farook, the eldest of six siblings, has been raised by his single mother since their father passed away from typhoid in 2016. To support the family, his mother sells local tea at the Busega taxi stage. Thanks to the Go 2 School Initiative, Farook receives free education and dreams of becoming a doctor. He enjoys literacy class and plays football in his free time. Farook’s favorite dish is a mix of rice, matooke, meat, and chicken. Rayton’s story is one of determination, driven by the unwavering support of his single mother. His passion for learning, especially in English and mathematics, fuels his dream of becoming a lawyer. Okiru Swamad
Date of birth: November 27, 2016
Swamad’s family faces financial struggles, with his father as a motorcyclist and mother selling charcoal and fish. Robert Kyagulanyi
Date of birth: June 18, 2014
Robert Kyagulanyi is a pupil in Primary 3 and lives in Kisasizi, Kabalagala Parish. He lives with his grandmother and comes from a family of five children. His grandmother sells groundnuts to support them. Robert dreams of becoming a teacher and hopes that, with the support of Go 2 School Initiative Uganda, he will be able to complete his education.


Sharon Mable Newumbe
Date of birth: March 4, 2014
Sharon Mable Newumbe is in Primary 5 and lives in the Kisasizi zone in Kabalagala Parish. She is the youngest of five children. Her father lives in Mbale, Eastern Uganda, while her mother supports the family by washing clothes for others. Without the support of Go 2 School Initiative Uganda, she would not have been able to go to school—thank you for making this possible.


Daphine Ampire
Date of birth: August 4, 2014
Daphine Ampire is in Primary 5 and lives in the Lubuga zone in Kibuli Parish. She lives with her father and is one of ten children, sharing a single room. Her father works as a boda-boda driver. Daphine has faced challenges such as food shortages at home and heavy household responsibilities after school. Thanks to your support, she is now able to focus on building her future.


Shaha Queen Nakanwagi
Date of birth: February 1, 2016
Shaha Queen Nakanwagi lives with her mother in the Kikubamutuwe zone of Kabalagala Parish. She is the oldest of three children. Her father passed away when she was young, and her mother supports the family by doing laundry for others.


Ganda Rashidah
Date of birth: April 12, 2014
Ganda Rashidah lives with her mother and stepfather and is the third of four children. Her mother works in a restaurant but struggles to earn enough to support the family. Rashidah faces domestic violence at home and hopes for a safe and stable future.


Nabunya Zaitun
Date of birth: July 9, 2016
Nabunya Zaitun lives in Kikubamutuwe in Kabalagala Parish. Her parents are both alive. Her mother supports the family by selling fried cassava. She is the seventh of nine children. Her father contributes little to the household due to alcohol addiction. Thanks to your support, she can go to school and work towards her future.
